Guided tour of Granada cathedral and royal chapel plus Alhambra and Generalife

The visit begins with the Cathedral of the Incarnation, an undoubted symbol of the Christian reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula, since, having been there for more than 700 years, the Muslims lived completely integrated into the city and the streets, squares and public buildings had a clear Muslim decoration. The architect who designed it was Diego de Siloé (known for designing other cathedrals in the area such as Guadix).

The visit continues very close to the Cathedral, since after passing through Oficios and Alcaicería streets you will find the Royal Chapel. This late Gothic building houses the funerary mausoleum of the Catholic Monarchs, Isabel and Ferdinand; its cenotaph (an empty tomb that serves as a memorial) sculpted by the Italian artist Domenico Fancelli and a museum that contains the symbols of command and power of the Catholic Monarchs among many other objects. You can also access the crypt that contains the sarcophagi of the monarchs.

Then the second part of the visit begins with the ascent to the Alhambra. Once we arrive at the monumental complex, we will visit the Generalife, the Medina, the Palace of Charles V, the Alcazaba and, finally, the Nasrid Palaces, which include exquisite rooms finely decorated with the personal touch of the sultan who ordered them to be built. The palaces in question are the Comares, the Mexuar and, finally, the Palace of the Lions, which contains inside the famous Lions fountain in the courtyard of the same name.

Don’t think twice and book with us the best city tour to visit the Alhambra, the Royal Chapel and the Generalife in Spanish with local guides.
